Best Practices for Asset File Sizes and Formats

When uploading content to EngagePHD, please note that uploading content files greater than 1920×1080 or 1080×1920 may affect quality or performance on your Player(s).

We recommend image and video files have a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 or 1080×1920 for best playback on media players.

Supported Image File Types:

  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • GIF
  • BMP

Supported Video File Types:

Videos over 50 MB or WMV, MOV, AVI files will be automatically re-encoded to improve performance and to ensure they are in the correct format. Once processing is complete you will receive an email and the asset can be used.

If uploaded content is larger than 1920×1080 or 1080×1920, you will see a notification indicating “Content files exceeding 1920×1080 or 1080×1920, depending on your ‘Player(s)’ may affect the quality and performance might be compromised.” :

There are some instances where 4k content is needed for certain types of players. These large files will show the file size notification, but this does not change the way content performs on the player.
