LG webOS Factory Reset Steps

In rare cases, a factory reset my be needed to restore a LG webOS back to its factory default settings. Please following the steps below.


webOS 2.0 & 3.0

1) Press and hold Settings button until a box appears upper right (hold for 5-10 seconds).

2) Type ‘0000’ with the remote control and then press ‘OK’. This will launch a different menu.

3) From the Signage Setup Menu, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list and Select Factory Reset.

Confirm Reset.

4) The screen will power off. Press the power button to power back on.

5) Press and hold Settings button until a box appears upper right (hold for 5-10 seconds).

6) Type ‘8080’ with the remote control and then press ‘OK’. This will launch a different menu.

webOS 3.2 (3.0+) & 4.0

1) Press the Settings button

2) Go down to Admin

3) Turn on the Admin Mode

4) Enter in Security Key (default is 000000)

5) Go down to Factory Reset and confirm.
