Each Windows device will need to be updated separately.
What happens if I do not update my Windows App? Your current content will remain stored on your device and continue to play on your screens, however, your device will eventually stop communicating with EngagePHD software and you will not be able to update content.
What are my options?
- You can continue to use the EngagePHD App on your Windows device, but you will need to take action by following the steps below to update the app. Once updated, no further action will be needed and the device will continue to work as usual.
- You can contact your EngagePHD representative to discuss how you can upgrade to another support device.
Updating the EngagePHD Windows App
To update the EngagePHD app on your Windows device, you will need a USB mouse and keyboard. If you have multiple Windows devices, each device will need to be updated separately using the steps below.
1) Connect your USB mouse and keyboard to a USB port on your Windows device.
2) Press Alt + F4 on your keyboard to close the EngagePHD app. You should see the Windows desktop once the app closes.
3) Open File Explorer and locate ‘This PC’ then locate and double-click to open the Windows (C:) drive:
5) Locate and open the EngagePHD folder:
6) Open the EngagePHD subfolder:
7) Locate and double-click on the base file (you might be prompted to select a program to open the file – select Notepad):
8) Locate the line: Host=go.pinghd.com:
9) Change to go.engagephd.com:
10) Go to File > Save:
11) Or close the Notepad window and you will be prompted to Save, click ‘Save’:
12) You can now close all folder windows.
13) Locate the EngagePHD app icon on your desktop – double-click to start the app:
14) Content should start playing.

Confirming Player Health Checks

2) Go to the Players section:
