What’s New

  • Amazon Fire TV – EngagePHD is a supported app on the latest Amazon Fire TV devices, allowing you to use a Fire TV device as a digital signage media player.

  • Creating On/Off Triggers Without Logging into EngagePHD – The following steps allow you to create parameters based URLs that can be used to turn your screens on/off. Anyone with these links can perform these actions and do not need to login into the software.

  • Image Scroller Widget The Image Scroller Widget allows you to select photos from your Assets to scroll within a Layout. This widget is also very useful for touchscreens, where arrows allow the user to scroll back or forward between photos.

  • Auto Size Text to Zone Widget Auto Size Text to Zone Widget is ideal for adding text to a Layout which has content that changes often. This widget will automatically adjust the text as you adjust the height and width of the zone.
  • Square Integration – Implemented a change that allows EngagePHD™ to get real-time changes from Square. This short guide will also explain how to connect Square to EngagePHD.
  • Automatically Inserting Uploaded Assets to Playlists – Added the ability to automatically assign an Asset into a Playlist(s) at point of upload. In addition, a user can add an Asset from the Asset Library to a Playlist(s).
  • YouTube Video Player Widget  The YouTube widget now supports Closed Captions.
  • Yelp Integration – We have created a “Local Food Finder” widget that pulls in data from Yelp. This is perfect for hotels that want to provide an interactive map of the local area that shows guests where they can eat.
  • Offline Player Alerts for Non-EngagePHD Users – Added a field to the Player record to enable non-EngagePHD user email addresses to be defined to receive an email alert in the event that specific Player is offline.
  • Scroll and Page Options for Product & Event Zones – Added an option to the Product/Event zone that enables excess products/events that won’t fit into the size of the zone to scroll or paginate.
  • Products Grid Editor – The Products Grid Editor allows you to change multiple product attributes at once in your Products Library. This feature would be ideal for multiple changes to Products and is an alternative to downloading and editing products using a product spreadsheet.
  • Default Asset for Playlists – If you have content in a Playlist that is schedule to stop showing, or all content has been removed from the playlist timeline, you can assign a specific Asset as a “default” when no other content is scheduled to show.

Playlists allow you to schedule one image or video Asset to your Players, or create a rotation of multiple images or video Assets. You can also add Layouts to Playlists. Assets or Layouts can then be scheduled for specific dates, time of day or on a recurring daily schedule.

The Events module is used where you have Room Signs and or Wayfinding based Digital Signage where you want to show what Event is happening in the room and/or the next Event to take place in the room where the display is installed. You are also able to create a summarized list of Events within the Layout Designer.

EngagePHD supports 3rd party integration from SalesPro and Ungerboeck and ICS based URL calendars. For more information about 3rd party support, please contact your EngagePHD representative.

The Advertising Module has been designed to allow users to manage advertising content/networks in a more advanced manner than just using a standard Playlist.
We have launched our own EngagePHD IPTV encoding hardware and provided a device configuration interface within our EngagePHD™ web application. We remain encoder agnostic providing we can see a UDP/RTP stream across the LAN.
